March was the month of field trips for students of Std. 1 to 6.

Std. 1 visited Hindustan Bakery, where they saw the process of making bread.

Std. 2 visited a biogas plant located at Nanded City. They saw how waste gets segregated and how dry waste can be created into manure.

Std. 3 visited the Sinhagad Road Fire Station and saw how the brave firemen put out fires.

Std. 4 went to Savvy Pure Aqua Pvt. Ltd. (a water filtration plant). They saw how water gets filtered and packaged before it is sold. Std. 5 visited the Federal Bank while Std. 6 went to the Uttamnagar police station.

“...the policemen asked us to ask any questions that we may have. I asked them that if every police station’s number is 100, how do they know who has to go? They had a simple answer to this! The central police station tells us where and who needs to go. They gave us information of how to keep ourselves safe!”

Teaming up for Science!

Our Walnut kids recently had the opportunity to showcase their imagination, inventive skills and creativity when a science fair was organized for them. It was a great way for them to get to know more about how the world around them works. Preparing for the fair was a great way of active learning for the students.
