Fire Safety Training at Walnut

To educate and train the students for an unforeseen emergency situation like a fire, Walnut School conducted a mock exercise and evacuation drill for our students. A demonstration using fire safety equipment was conducted by the experts from the Sinhagad Road Fire Station and Hadapsar Fire Brigade Station Pune in both our schools.  The objective behind this exercise was to create awareness among the students of firefighting techniques and the ways to respond swiftly in times of emergency situations. Younger Walnut students were awestruck on seeing real size firefighting trucks and the firefighting men in uniform! As the drill began, the younger Walnut students were cheering the firefighters as if they were action heroes who had arrived to save someone! Students were keen to learn about the operation of fire extinguisher cylinders and some even tried their hand on the same (of course under the guidance of the firefighters).
With Masti Ki Pathshala, which was conducted for the whole month, our students were exposed to a plethora of such activities – done exclusively for students of Walnut School!
