During our birthday celebrations, every student receives a personalized birthday card. This card is more than just a greeting—it’s a keepsake that captures the child’s favourites during that year. From food to hobbies, books and ambitions, we carefully record their preferences, creating a beautiful snapshot of their current phase of life.
As students’ progress through Walnut School, they receive a new birthday card each year, showcasing their changing tastes and interests. It’s a nostalgic journey for both parents and children, allowing them to reminisce and witness the remarkable growth that occurs over time. These personalized birthday cards serve as a tangible reminder of belonging and connection within the Walnut community.
In addition to the personalized birthday cards, we also have a special tradition at Walnut School. On each child’s birthday, the teacher performs the traditional ‘aukshan’ of the child. This ceremony is a way for us to honour and acknowledge the uniqueness of each student, celebrating their presence and contributions within our school community.
