Walnut School Shivane’s boys’ under-17 football team continues its triumphant journey in the Subroto Mukharjee Football Championship, securing two consecutive victories.
After an impressive 3-0 win against Rambhau Parulekar Vidyaniketan yesterday, they claimed a thrilling victory against New English School, Landewadi, in today’s tough 2nd round match!
In a tense match held at Phulgaon, Pune, both teams battled relentlessly, resulting in a goalless first half. However, as the game approached its final moments, the Walnut boys intensified their attacks. It was the captain, Ishan Jadhav, who emerged as the hero, scoring a last-minute goal and leading his team to a nail-biting 1-0 victory.
Coach Mathson Sir‘s strategic guidance and meticulous training played a pivotal role once again. The defensive trio of Nihar, Bhargav, and Shivam H held firm, while the midfield quartet of Shreyas, Aarush, Amogh, and Ishan displayed exceptional teamwork.
With these back-to-back wins, Walnut School Shivane’s boys’ U-17 football team has secured a place in the championship quarter-finals. With their eyes set on future challenges, the Tough & Smart Walnut boys are determined to make a mark indeed!

Walnut School Fursungi’s Boys U-17 Football Team continued their scintillating form, securing back-to-back victories in the ongoing Subroto Mukharjee Football Championship.
After their thrilling 1-0 win against New English School Ghodegaon, they showcased their prowess yet again by overpowering Krimsan Anisha School, Mahalunge with a resounding 2-0 triumph in the second round.

The Walnut School Shivane under-17 girls’ football team fought with incredible determination in the Subroto Mukherjee Pune District Football Championship. Though their Subroto Cup journey ended early, the girls displayed inspiring teamwork, discipline, and courage at every step.

Congratulations to our tough and smart U-17 girls from Walnut School, Fursungi for a superb 2nd place finish at the Subroto Mukherjee Pune District Football Championship on 5 August. The team played with unwavering spirit and passion throughout.

U-12 Boys – MIT Gurukul Interschool Tournament Runners-up
Our Under-12 boys clinched a superb Second place at the MIT Gurukul Interschool Tournament. They handled a tough draw with composure and delivered strong wins.

Captain Arjun Wale led brilliantly with clear communication and smart execution of the coaches’ plans. Goal scorers Suyash Raskar and Shlok Puranik provided consistent firepower, while Arush Gavali anchored a solid defence.
We are proud of how the boys competed as a unit and carried themselves throughout. Winning or losing is part of the game, and they embodied our ethos — Tough Outside and Smart Inside (and gentlemen throughout).
